Payments & Allowances

We understand how difficult it is to foster children who have social, emotional and/or mental health difficulties, and who may also have aspects of autistic spectrum condition, so our full-time and part time foster carers receive generous packages.

Full-Time Foster Carers Receive 

  • Fees and Allowances of between £40,560 to £43,784 per year depending on the age of the child in your care. 

  • Additional mileage allowances.

  • Additional birthday and celebration allowance of £150, twice per year.

  • Telephone advice line 24 hours a day, 365 days per year, operated by people who know and understand the child in your care.

  • Regular breaks /respite. The amount and frequency will depend on everyone’s needs but we can offer a maximum of 62 days per year. 

  • Unused / unwanted respite paid at a rate of £160.60 per night.

  • Paid Foster Talk memberships which provides independent advice, legal insurance, tax benefit and NI advice, 24/7 counselling services, max card discounts, free online events, financial advice and discounted tax return service.

  • Paid pre-approval checks such as a DBS and medical checks.

  • Paid access to 130+ online fostering specific training courses.

  • Fortnightly carer support sessions.

  • Planned support with a qualified therapist.

 

Part-Time Foster Carers Receive 

  • A Professional Carer Fee of £321.20 per weekend or £9,957.20 per year (based on 62 days per year).

  • Additional mileage allowances.

  • Additional birthday and celebration allowance of £50 twice per year.

  • Paid Foster Talk memberships which provides independent advice, legal insurance, tax benefit and NI advice, 24/7 counselling services, max card discounts, free online events, financial advice and discounted tax return service.

  • Paid pre-approval checks such as a DBS and medical checks.

  • Paid access to 130+ online fostering specific training courses.

  • Telephone advice line 24 hours a day, 365 days per year, operated by people who know and understand the child in your care.
